Walid Chaya, Founder & Artistic Director

Walid Chaya is the Founder & Artistic Director of Moonlit Wings Productions, where he leads inclusive, high-quality performing arts programs for kids and teens across Northern Virginia and beyond. With professional experience spanning film, television, theatre, and live events, Walid brings real-world industry insight into age-appropriate, confidence-building training for young performers.

Walid’s work through Moonlit Wings has been recognized by Washington Family Magazine, which named the program Best Arts Program, and his productions and live events have earned honors including BroadwayWorld Awards. As an educator and director, he is known for creating supportive, joyful environments where students of all levels feel seen, challenged, and empowered—whether they are stepping onstage for the first time or deepening their craft.

In addition to Moonlit Wings, Walid is the founder of Studio For Performing Arts LA, where he coaches emerging artists and collaborates with industry professionals nationwide. His creative projects have screened at festivals worldwide, including a special presentation at the World Expo, and he has appeared on television series for NBC, CBS, and Hulu.

Born in Lebanon and raised in the U.S., Walid is bilingual in English and Arabic and is deeply committed to multicultural, gender-diverse storytelling. He holds a B.F.A. in Performance with honors from VCUarts and is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. Above all, Walid is passionate about helping young people grow through creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.
