Samantha Jalajel, Director of Summer Camps

Samantha earned her B.A. in Theatre from Old Dominion University and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Theatre. She is passionate about teaching the performing arts to young people and believes theatre is a powerful tool for building confidence, collaboration, and self-expression.


In 2020, Samantha was recognized as Fairfax County Public Schools’ Outstanding Secondary New Teacher.


Her experience spans both education and professional theatre, including serving as Vice President of Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society, working in casting for Discovery Channel’s A Haunting, and directing and choreographing productions with youth and adult casts.


Samantha brings a diverse skill set to the classroom, with training in short-form improvisation, movement and gymnastics, mask work, special effects makeup, and theatrical properties. She was also nominated for Best Properties Design at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for Old Dominion University’s The Outsiders.


Samantha is excited to teach and inspire kids and teens through Moonlit Wings’ modern, creative classes and camps.
