"Moonlit Wings Productions held a dress rehearsal last week of “Charlie’s Chocolate Factory,” a local play starring children enrolled in Providence RECenter’s drama camp in Falls Church. The productions company is a community development-based program in Northern Virginia that focuses around unifying young performers of any background into visually stimulating, educational performances. It’s located the local center for its 2010 season.
Every two weeks, the program receive about 30 campers between the ages of 7 and 14. From there, they audition a cast, and direct a musical workshop to be shared for the campers’ families on the last day of camp. Within two short weeks, campers get to experience crafting a show through improvisation, play-writing, choreography/dance, singing and acting.
The campers have also found themselves participating in various community-outreach programs such as their current food drive contest and a field trip to a professional children’s theatre show." - Natalie Bedell of Falls Church News-Press
